Software/firmware update ?

I have a 388 from Taiwan. Is it possible to change software or firmware ?
The speed is in Kph and the option to change setting in the English instructions is not available in my menu.

I bought an official 388 there is a software bug , even choosing MPH in the options , it still records in Kph , I have emailed Mio support , waiting on a reply.

Just got this back from Mio , not tried it yet , any one uprading/flashing at your own risk



Thank you for your email. Please try and update the firmware on your device following the instructions below:


http://eu.mio.com/support/mivue 388 v2.04.11.5.rar

1. Copy both files from the download to a blank Micro SD card.
2. Turn off MiVue 388 and insert the Micro SD card.
3. Turn on the device and select Yes when prompted: ‘Update Firmware’

Just checked , that is the same version that is already on my 388. looks like I am stuck for now with Kph recording but wont record MPH to the video when chosen stays in Kph.
I will leave the last post it might help some one with a corrupted Mio 388.

John did you sort this I'm looking at them on ebay but see that they state they only work withntaiwan speed cameras, can you confirm?

Anyway to make them work in themUK, or do they work fine just on KPH

Does this firmware have the WDR? I had downloaded a firmware once without the WDR, video was not good on dark environments so I reverted to the original firmware which has the WDR.
