Hi. Recently got a LK 7900 ARA (don't have the OBD so basically I have the ACE) and I've noticed some static lines in my videos. I linked some videos below but they're basically like the static you would get on the old CRT TVs. It seems to happen mostly when it's parked and capping motion videos but on two occasions it happens while driving. This is my first dashcam and my knowledge about this kind of stuff (and cameras in general) is very limited. Any help or advice will be much appreciated.

Some stuff about my setup. It's powered by the cigarette socket. I have 80% windshield tint for the UV protection. I have the CPL filter but as you'll see in the video, I'm still trying to get the focus right. I have parking mode enabled right now to test the functions and stuff.

Here are the videos
Driving (happens about halfway through video):

Motion cap after parked about 20-30 mins (also halfway through video):

Ridiculous amount of static:

And no static at all while parked to show it doesn't happen all the time:

Just found this on right before I was going to post. I cringed and you might too:

I think it's either heat (unlikely since High-Temp safety mode is on) or the drop in voltage although the second half of the day's videos had no static.
Also, unrelated, the default motion sensitivity at 3 seems way too much for me. Hundreds of videos for one day.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think and thanks.

Someone else can probably help you out a bit better with the static than I can as Im not too sure about that. What kind of SD card are you using? You should be using at least a class 10 or the Lukas card. As far as the motion detect, I keep mine off...it's too sensitive, as you found out.

The card used in the videos are a class 10 SanDisk Ultra something something 128 gb card. The first time I saw the static was with the Lukas 16 gb card that came with the camera.

If its showing static with both cards, it might be the camera itself. You might talk to member Calgary Dash Camera-Robert as he is quite versed and deals with Lukas regularly.

Unfortunately I am thinking its the camera.
There is a chance its your power supply. If possible try testing with another power source, and jack.
If not, I would recommend contacting the retailer where you bought the 7900 from for warranty replacement (if still covered).

If you look at the voltage on the bottom of the video, it sure seems variate a lot more then it should.
So the question is this because of your vehicle, the power jack/wiring, or camera.

So there were no issues today. Motion sensitivity was at its lowest, although I'm not sure if that did anything at all. Seems to have capped the same amount of videos. It was also much colder today and not as sunny. I'll test it a few more times with my car. I look for another cable to test but I'll borrow my dad's car to test the one that came with the camera. Thanks for the advice.
