I have bought a used GS63H. It works fine , but i cannot find the firmware anywhere that is already on the dash cam. So i am a bit apprehensive of downloading the latest firmware as there are a number of different ones.IMG_20220119_152150[1].jpg

Hi,
You say that you purchased a GS63H but your screen shot of the version shows as a GS63D.

I'm not sure if the firmware is compatible...Hard to nearly impossible to find anything related to the GS63D on their Support Forum or web site.

The only info I can find is... > http://forum.azdome.hk/thread-735-1-1.html

BUT, this only relates to the model with no GPS unit.

I cannot get to the GS63H (with GPS) page because el Google will not allow it. :)

AZDOME support is a tad "iffy" to say the least.
Their site hasn't been updated since 2018...so good luck there.
Why not send them an email?

Why are you trying to update the dashcam?

Is it not functioning O.K.?

I couldn't get a response from AZDOME when I bought my 1st GS63H, so I contacted the eBay seller
& they sent me a replacement camera. No charge & no return of the faulty unit.

The dashcams are still available on eBay at a reasonable price.

It functions fine, i thought i would upgrade the firmware. The cam is identical to a GS63H, except for the bezel around the lens being a bronze colour.
On start up the screen displays the 'Adzome' mark, so i don't think it's a knock off.

How do i save the original firmware before doing an update?

Hi,
You know what "they" say..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

There's no need to update it if it's functioning O.K.

Never had to do mine since purchasing it a few years ago.

Works just fine.

Original firmware back up? No idea. Sorry.
I think that you'll find that the code is written to the main chip/processor & NOT accessible.

Take note of the version displayed, before any updating.
You may be able to find it "on-site" but ?

Update. I managed to updade my 'GS63D' with the latest firmware. It has added more features and the video appears to be sharper. It now shows GS63H on the firmware version.

There are no normal way to backup the firmware already on a dashcam, at least i have never seen or heard of a option like that in any dashcam
