Strange occurance

I have a 412gw fitted in the rear windscreen of my car on the 3m mount provided (I have the 412 for nearly 2 years Now I think from memory) it's set to the 30 second screen saver option where screen blackens out. Cut long story short, started up car waited for 30 seconds then I drove off then about 5 mins up the road I checked my rear view mirror & noticed the screen was on display & not recording? So I had to pull over & re format the sd card, seems to be working OK now but curious to why this happens as it has happened in the past

So may require a firmware update then that's if its not got the latest one already that is

a problem on the memory card can cause that, not necessarily a firmware issue
