I purchased a SGZC12SG and have an issue with the GPS. I'm not sure If the problem is the dashcam or the Software I'm using???. I'm on a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.10.3 (latest). When I run the mp4 files thru Dashcam Viewer, the main screen shows my vehicles speed, however, when attempting to display the map, or ANY of the display info, on my laptop, nothing shows on screen. The application says no gps for the file. This happens on all mp4 files I have so far. I did set the GPS GMT zone to -4 for my location, which is New Jersey USA DST but the video is always 1 hour later. Do I have to set the GMT zone and the date/time??. Datacam Player gives the same result.
The dashcam does show a green sat icon in the lower left corner. Im not sure If the icon stays green at all times.
In other words, does the cam fail to notify that the sat signal is lost????.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please post a sample clip via http://mega.co.nz

It seems like the data should be there if you see the speed displayed at the bottom hard coded into video bar.
(And have a green sat icon)

We'll conform/test on our end. If you have access to windows try windows version of datakam http://registratorviewer.com as a test as well

The Mac version of RV doesn't work yet.

Gents, thanks for bringing this to my attention. The next version of Dashcam Viewer (v1.7.3) will be compatible with the Street Guardian SGZC12SG and SG9665GC (and perhaps other Street Guardian models I haven't tested). I should have this on my website this weekend.

Great stuff, I've had a few customers asking if we're compatible with your software yet

not sure what you meant here, the camera will power up and auto record when connected to 12/24v power via the plug in the side

the Micro USB port is a service connection port, it is possible to power up the camera and manually start a recording when connected via USB but it's not intended to be setup this way

look out for the new Mac version of Dashcam Viewer coming soon, the camera will be supported in the next release

I thought i read that it has a parking mode. guess it was another model

FYI: I just updated Dashcam Viewer for Mac and Windows to be compatible with the SGZC12SG and SG9665GC. This is version 1.7.3. It may support other Street Guardian models if they use the same scheme to record GPS data. Let me know if you find an any major issues.

Here's a screenshot from a short SGZC12SG movie provided to me:
