Super low Frame rate requied

Hey Dash Cam Talk Forum,

I am looking for a dash cam (or any other cam which can do the job), but I don't need it for the usual purpose. I am planning to do a large journey with my car and I want to record the whole trip to then make a time lapse video out of it. I will record for a bunch of days several hours of footage each day.

To not get countless GB of data, I could easily reduce the frame rate to under 10 fps, maybe even 1 fps. Is there a product which is capable of this (It would be nice if the resolution wouldn't be the worst though)?

Sounds like you might want a Mobius action cam. You can record down to 5 fps in 1080p or shoot time lapse between .25 seconds and 30 seconds. You can also customize the time lapse to your specifications in minutes and hours.

Hey, @Jalo, if you are not already familiar with the Mobius, here is what it looks like. It's about the size of a matchbox and very rugged and reliable compared with many other cams.
