Supplier of good quality USB cables and connectors - any recommendations?

You're welcome, I'm very pleased with it and fitted it exactly as I said I was thinking of doing.

Needed the power supply cables extended to reach the lighter socket from the dash end panel but that's a simple job and now means if I need to get to it for any reason it's one simple panel that's designed to be removed easily rather than dismantle half the dash to get behind the lighter socket (OK, a bit of an exaggeration!) and the perfect Startech 2m cable has length to spare.
