Hi everyone. I just received my Viofo T330 today and I'm trying to find the best position for it on my windshield. The problem is that the Viofo app cannot maintain a stable connection to the dash cam, and the livestream is just stuck loading forever. I've never had this issue with cheaper, lower-end dash cams, so this is incredibly frustrating! Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution? Thanks!

Hello,
It sounds like there's something interfering with the camera's Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth signal.
1.) Delete, and re-install the APP on your smartphone.
2.) Move to a different location, (if you were trying to connect to the dash cam in your car, move the camera into your house).
Also follow these steps.

Turn Off Airplane Mode ✈️
Turn On Wi-Fi 🛜
Turn On Bluetooth ᛒ
Turn On Cellular Data 📶
Turn On Location Services ↗️ (Privacy & Security) ✋
Turn Off VPN 🌐
After successful connection you can go back, and turn everything OFF / ON to your liking.
If that doesn't work, try using a different smartphone / device.

Appreciate your response Chuck.
I have tried 1 and 2 (I connected my dash camera at my home office, and no bluetooth or other devices interfering.)
I also tried an Android phone. It even cannot recorgnized the camera.
I do can connected the device, just never got the livestream.

Thank you for confirming.

Can you post three screenshots?
1.) APP screenshot showing dash cam firmware.
2.) APP screenshot showing APP version.
3.) Smartphone settings showing smartphone
a.) make / model
b.) iOS / Android software version

VIOFO Official tech support is closed until October 8, so hopefully we can fix this quickly.
If not you may need to SUBMIT A TICKET

After leaving the dash camera for a couple of hours, it went back to normal on its own. The camera's location (in my home office), power supply, and phone all remained the same. I have a screen recording to demonstrate the connection failure.

We just received a response from VIOFO to an ongoing email chain with them last night, so it seems like they still have some staff working (possibly in their US office). We contacted them at support@viofo.com.
Yes. It looks like the camera is do something on the backend. Maybe a hidden automatic firmware upgrade?
Never heard of that from VIOFO before. Perhaps it would be worth asking.

I have a screen recording to demonstrate the connection failure.

There is currently an issue with ATT and some Apple devices on iOS 27. ATT and Apple are working to resolve the issue; no one has taken responsibility yet. The problem involves phone calls, text messages, and data. This may or may not have been your issue; the problem is hit or miss for users. It was thought to be related to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, but users of other devices are reporting issues.

You also had Background App Refresh enabled, not likely a problem but...who knows. Your Asus router may have been an issue also. Hard to know.

Doesn't look like OP is using an 18 Pro Max either.

I have not seen the 18 in person yet, but he is using Liquid Glass, so that is 26 or 27. The problem resolved itself, so maybe, as he said, a background process like iCloud backups, Spotlight indexing, etc., may have been going on.

You can tell it's not an 18 Pro Max because the Dynamic Island wouldn't be that big/wide for just one activity.

It looks like the most recent update from ATT disables the 5G Standalone on the entire iPhone 18 series. That supposedly fixes the issue; we will see. I did see a few reports of people on an iPhone 17 claiming to have the same issue with 27, and there are complaints about the 18PM on T-Mobile, but I haven't seen any confirmation for either. Apple botched 26, and when digging deeper, 27 has its issues.

I reread the thread and see that the OP has stated they also had a failure with an Android phone. That essentially rules out AT&T, but I noticed in his video that the app disconnected, while the Wi-Fi network still showed the camera attached to the cell phone.

All the requested information is included in the attached screenshots. I have been testing the dash camera for about an hour. While the livestream successfully worked a few times, I was never once able to switch to the settings or video download screen and then successfully return to the livestream.

@lufa6977 also made a good point: but I noticed in his video that the app disconnected, while the Wi-Fi network still showed the camera attached to the cell phone.
I have to completely shut off the dash camera's power supply to physically disconnect the Wi-Fi. Otherwise, even if I force close the app running in the background and reopen it, it remains stuck on the livestream loading screen.

Looking at that first video, I see your signal type shifted from LTE to 5G. Go into Settings/Cellular/Cellular Data Options/Voice & Data/ (or wherever it is on iOS 27 ) and see which of these you have enabled.

5G Auto
5G On
5G SA (Stand Alone)
LTE

You can enable "5G On" and see if that is more stable. However, enabling this setting usually causes a greater battery drain.

Do you think it may be caused by IOS version?
