I use this for about 8 hour recording have camera in Auto DVR, it works 8 out of 10 times, however it gets stuck sometimes when car turned on/off.
1. Every time i start my car car on it shows menu like when you plug it in computer USB port asking to select one of 3 options "Mass Storage / Ext Power / Charge", (its plugged into regular 3rd party car charger, not a dedicated car USB slot).
Can be fixed by unplugging USB (powers off) and then plugging USB back (starts to auto record in DVR mode).
2. Camera goes to "permanent power ON" mode.
- Unplugging / Re-plugging USB does nothing.
- Manual recording with record button does nothing
- Power button does not power camera off
3. Camera goes to "permanent power OFF" mode.
- Not responding to charger cable at all no light comes on
- Power button does not power camera on.
only solution for 2nd and 3rd problem is hard reset by removing battery (clears time/date settings), followed by video file recovery dialog.
T5e version with microphone jack.
