T5e doesn't do looping video? Really?!

I cannot locate a full manual for the T5e, but a video overwrite/looping mode is inferred in the review on this site, and in many other reviews.
From the i60 manual - this is the description of one of the most basic features a 'car cam' requires:

You can record videos continuously. The latest video will overwrite the oldest video when Micro SD card is full.

I've fiddled with the settings and tested many times, but the 'loop' feature doesn't do that. It overwrites ONE file.

Can any other owners here confirm this lack of a feature on this model?
