Hi,

summer is coming(a new test for my DR900S) and few days ago i've noticed some of the videos are "out of focus". So i've investigated the footage and thankfully one day in a parking lot a music in my car was preventing the dashcam to switch to parking-mode so i turned off the dashcam for a while and turned it on again when i was leaving the car. And this is the result:

Before turn-off (after drive, DR900S + B-124 + CPL):

I assume it's caused by a "high temp" but the outside ambient temperature was only 16°C (A/C and heating turned off, windows rolled down), so the only heat was produced by the Sun and camera itself. Sure, it could be caused by a light intensity, but...

Does anybody noticed similar behaviour?

Cannot see the pics either.

if this is heat-related, can you ensure you've removed the plastic wrapping around the front unit?

Unfortunately i'm not able to upload the images here directly (because of the size or resolution, don't know) but i saw the pictures fine even via other devices.

Anyway, how about this?

So do you think the difference on the trees is ok? Yeah, the first and second image has pretty different lighting but the other two are not that far (especially the last one).

I'll try to get other examples when i know now it wasn't just a random optical event.46025

Another example (don't know the temperature but the bottom one is from the middle of the day and the one on top is in the evening):

Looks like heat-related focus- shift. Sometimes a slight lens re-focus can solve this but sometimes the cause relates to the lens mount which will need to be dealt with under warranty. Don't attempt a lens re-focus without factory permission or your warranty maybe voided!
