I was a lurker on this forum for many years. I am grateful for the helpful discussions here. Without these, it would have been harder for me to choose a suitable dashcam.
My first dashcam (NextBase 322GW) did its job well. Some nights back, a drunk driver heading in the other direction suddenly veered across the road and hit me head-on. The camera caught the whole event, including his license plate, and it showed that I safely braked to a stop as soon as it became clear he was driving dangerously - so he technically hit me while I was stationary. Hopefully, this will make for a much easier insurance claim to repair the damage he caused to my car.
Had it not been for the helpful guidance on this forum, I might have postponed getting a dashcam, and then the incident above would have been much harder to resolve.
