Here’s the list of best current dash cams according to Tech Radar. I’m just curious why I never really hear anyone on these forums talking about any of these (for the most part)???

Nextbase 522GW
Garmin Dash Cam 66W
Kenwood DRV-830
Thinkware TW-F770
BlackVue DR900S-2CH
Vantrue N2 Pro
Halfords HDC400
YI Smart Dash Camera

did their list also have affiliate links for you to purchase?

LOL, yes of course. I just remembered when I first began looking for a new dash cam I saw the Nextbase 522GW everywhere I looked as “the best cam”...also the Garmin 66w. Just surprised I don’t see anyone discussing or recommending any of these “best of” cams

Most of those have lithium batteries...

Vantrue N2 Pro
Release DateAug 2017

Is it really still the best dashcam?

Final WordAn ok rideshare camera. Video quality is not the greatest but build quality and realiability are good. Consider the B2W instead.

Not sure about the reliability, it has a battery so not for warm places.

LOL, yes of course.
This is why a forum is better than a website which is recommending products based on affiliate links.
Unfortunately for end users, these way of making money is killing the truth. Also in my country I found some reviews of dashcams by users which are also reviewing bricks, burgers or condoms.

enjoy,
Mtz

I am not doing reviews,,,,, ever.
But i will tell what i think good or bad, and i will also tell if i am affiliated with the brand.
I want people to make good buying decisions them self.

Now they could be interesting videos if reviewing all at the same time :D

Can you try to use the search on the forum? You can find a lot of interesting and useful.

And the fact that some brand / model of dash did not find wide discussion here on the forum can indicate only a few things:
-This dashcam has not yet been bought by any of the users of the DCT forum or the user did not consider it necessary to share information about this dashcam here;
- Dashcam does not deserve enough attention to discuss something;
- Dashcam is not so good;
- Dashcams have no problems using (I don’t know if such exist :unsure: );
- The ratio of quality and price of dashcam is not conducive to its purchase;
- The dashcam model is not so popular and widespread

I wasn't exactly looking for a literal answer, but thanks for the reply anyways. I was just commenting on how crazy and confusing it is for a newbie to do a web search looking for a good dash cam to buy and the search hardly reveals brands such as Viofo, Street Guardian, or other brands which seem to be very popular in the dash cam world. I realize there are threads regarding most of the brands listed by Tech Radar, but just thought it’s interesting the aforementioned cams don’t appear to be as popular as the article suggests they should be. Just an observation.

This looks like they've just taken the 2019 list and updated it:

Whenever we get a new dash cam review in, we'll update this list with more of the best we've tested. Keep reading to find out which rank among the best dash cams 2019!

Obviously the list is pointless, there is barely 100 words about each dashcam, and no links to a further in depth review. The plus and minus points are a joke!

affiliate links often bring products that otherwise don't get a mention, go figure :eek:
