About a week ago I asked sales@thieye.com:
Does the T5 Edge or E7 function as a dashcam such that if power is provided in the USB cable, does the camera automatically turn on and start recording? Does it power off and correctly save the video when the power stops going through the USB cable? How long does it take to start recording when the camera is off? Will the camera function without the battery installed but while the USB cable has power?
Does either camera support 60 FPS for 2.5K or 2.7K resolutions?

I finally got a reply from them and they said, "Yes the T5 Edge or E7 supports all the functions you mentioned in mail. It features" (sic).

It looks like the "edge" oversharpness a lot.

i think its cos T5 Edge isn't actually true 4K is it, i read its using a panasonic MN sensor which in no way is true 4K, all interpolated.
