Thinkware F800 Pro Video quality

As quoted in a previous post...
"I could not rotate the camera lense to its optimal position as the filter holder caught with the windscreen".
I can see how this could be a problem with some windscreens that might not be at the same angle as my own. I am using the bottom few notches of the camera, but when testing the filter I noticed that it wouldn't be possible to use the filter with the camera lens in other positions.
I notice the difference during the day with the filter on. Especially in the sun.
As for the image at night, it is slightly clearer without the filter, but the image is still ok. It's just a bit darker.
