We have spoken about
  1. having the audio turned on or off
  2. Police providing dash cam video to prove or disprove a traffic violation
  3. police some times showing a lack of willingness to use dash or body cams.
This story merges all three topics.

In the news here, someone fighting a traffic ticket requested the police dash cam video, which was provided. What was discovered is the police saying derogatory remarks about one of the passengers.

Just boy howdy. There's no excuse for this and no apology is enough to compensate  I just added a new siggy, maybe I should add "audio" to it

A cop lying, surely not he wouldn't lie to cover his useless ass, hope he gets booted out and loses any pension rights, even as a human the cops need to seriously grow up

Yeah.

While i fully understand cops have good reasons to get extremely frustrated some times while just doing their job, then they should be trained to rise above such things and do the right thing.

I wouldn't even want to be a Danish cop, as i feel the laws they are there to uphold are often pretty much useless, and i like to go home from work feeling that i have made a difference today or at least earned my wages.

This is also why i will never again work for any public employer, i got a education as machine worker at the Danish Railroads and after that i told myself to never again work in such a incompetence driven place.

And we're supposed to wonder why cops, their supervisors, and the unions are so opposed to body cameras? I thought it was due to privacy and officer safety concerns. Riiiight...

While it may expose an unpleasant attitude, what disciplinary offence could possibly apply? They did not make the comments in front of the person(s) they were insulting.
I haven't looked at it all, is there more to it?

I have to agree with @Rajagra... I talked to my wife, who works in the ED, and she said anytime family members come back to the trauma bay, she warns everyone. She said that the stress of the job makes everyone cold and callous, and they have to consciously force themselves to soften up when they have an audience. I'm sure being a cop has the same impact, and the coarse, unpleasant humor/joking that occurs in private where the public normally is unable to observe, is probably a necessary form of stress relief.

She said if they all had to act professionally 100% of the time, with the level of stress they encounter, they would all burn out.

But they do burn out ! ( All the time )
Trick is to recognize the symptoms and send them on a holiday ..
Problem is , civilized society is not really that civilized .. Its simply a veil that conceals the truth .
