True Triple-Channel 4K | 70mai T800 Unboxing & Hands-On Experience

This year, 70mai launched its new flagship model, the T800, featuring a front 4K HDR camera, a rear 4K (RC41) camera, and a 1080p interior camera. It supports Wi-Fi 6, incorporates Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, and offers full-channel HDR.

As a premium triple-channel solution, does it truly justify an upgrade in image quality, functionality, and installation experience? I'd been observing this product for some time. After ordering
the A800se, I decided it was time to try a genuine 4K model.

I've been on an exceptionally lengthy holiday. At last, I can retrieve the dashcam from my vehicle to review the footage.😉

I have no complaints whatsoever about the 4K picture quality. This is a clip I captured earlier whilst stuck in traffic.

This is another vehicle scene. As you can see, the expansive view highlights the advantage of a wide field of view.

This is also why I chose the T800. I believe capturing more footage could prove crucial for subsequent evidence gathering.👍

I've noticed many forum users comparing footage from the T800 against dashcams from other brands.

However, after using the T800 myself and comparing its front-facing recording quality to the A800SE, I've found that the choice of chip significantly impacts the final footage quality. 👍

I'd be interested to hear others' perspectives. I haven't used many other brands' 4K dashcams myself, so I'd welcome further insights!

You mentioned this feature, which I've been using recently. I must say it's convenient, especially for someone like me who parks by the roadside after work every day.

However, when I activated all three cameras for parking monitoring and set the voltage to maximum, it lasted about three to four hours. This poses a significant challenge to the car battery. 🤔

I'd recommend activating just the front camera for standard parking on quieter roads. That should suffice for the entire night (around 8 hours).😉

I've seen reviews on forums indicating the T800 consumes considerable power when all three cameras are active. Yet I believe this shouldn't pose major issues with voltage protection in place.

Important note: I've observed that parking monitoring devices on Amazon require a separate purchase. Without acquiring them, this feature can not work.
