Hey Community :),

after i mounted a CPL-filter on my Dome D201, i want to share a quick tutorial how to do this because there are only filters for the D202 or D205.

1. What i have bought:

- A 37mm to 49mm step up ring (filteradapter) It has to be a one with inner diameter of 37mm!

My is from LUMOS-66 http://www.ebay.de/itm/172344730172?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

- A 49mm Slim CPL-filter.

Just search at ebay or google. I have bought this from ebay http://www.ebay.de/itm/110815754734?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Just make sure you buy a high quality and real glass filter.

2. Prepare the Dome D201

First use a little screwdriver to remove the chrome ring. Just push it up. There are 5 little plastic legs on the ring to hold the chrome ring. They will brake if u push the ring up.

After u removed the chrome ring it looks like this:

Now you are ready to mount the adapter ring on the lens.

3. Mount the CPL-filter on

The adapter ring with inner diameter of 37mm fits perfectly over the lens.
Just push it over and u will see that it will sit solid. If u worry about it, you could use double-sided tap to fix the adapter ring.

Now you can screw on the 49mm CPL-filter.

There you have your CPL-filter mounted on successfully!

Here is a short video showing me how strong the adapter ring fits on the lens without taping it.

Thank you very much for reading this tutorial ;)

Using a step-up ring 43-49 CPL filter can be installed without removing the chrome ring. So I mounted on my camera.

Even better :)

I'm kinda concern about reflection by chrome ring, how did it go so far?

What's the correct way to measure the camera for the step up adapter? When I measure the casing, I get 34mm for the inner diameter after I removed the chrome ring, and I get 41mm for the outer diameter. See screenshots. Isn't a 37mm inner diameter going to be loose? I'm using the Rove camera which looks identical to the Dome but it is possible that it's not exactly the same.0511172054_inner.jpg 0511172054_outer.jpg

On step-up ring 37 mm is diameter of threaded part on outside, inside diameter of ring is smaller
