UK insurance rant!

I just had to renew my car insurance, another year without a claim, the car has obviously decreased in value and yet my renewal is £50 more than last year!

To make things even more annoying, an online comparison site gave me a quote from the same insurance company, £50 cheaper than the renewal. I even phoned them but they could not match the online quote over the phone!

It's stupid that I have to go through the same ****e every year!

Yeah its the same here, come next time i will change company as i can save a good deal by doing that, just have to time it with one expiring and paying for the new one as i cant afford to up front the new company until i get money back from the old one.
Still the consensus if you look at such things every 1 - 2 years as there could be savings, but its a jungle even with sites dedicated to comparing insurance companies.
