Unable to protect files

I have tried to protect files by pressing the protect button whilst driving, but they are not being saved. Parking mode is permanently on. There are only half a dozen protected files of 30 seconds stored - no three minute files. Purchased August 2018. Card formatted regularly.

It is a 16gb Nextbase card - it came with the dash cam when bought from Halfords.

I contacted Nextbase via the helpline and the problem has been resolved. Because I had screensaver on, it is necessary to press the protect file button TWICE. I was only pressing the button once. My thanks to all involved for resolving this.
