I find the above interesting, this is something I would be willing to try, although I shouldn’t have too. But nextbase need to be careful, if this is something that massively improves the performance and even goes as far as to stop all the above issues then it points to a major design flaw and the product not being fit for purpose. At the moment I feel it’s a firmware problem or issue with having to write too much data to the card, but the point you make above in regards to heat I know from experience can be a major factor, going back to my early blackvue days, excellent cameras but suffered with overheating with the very first models. My nextbase camera is so bad it does need to be changed as it’s just not doing what it was intended for, the main issue for me is the constant screen freezing, and using park mode, forget it. So it’s going to be thrown in the bin so doing what you recommend above with regards to heat issues is something I would be willing to try, if just to prove an overheating issue, to be fair it does get very warm, but then a lot of the cameras I’ve used in the past always did get hot so I just expected it. But I might try this to see if it helps because if the camera did work correctly I would be over the moon as when it works it’s fantastic, unfortunately it only works for a few minutes then freezes or crashes completely.
