Upgrade to Yi2 worth it ?

So as you may have noticed, the big brother of our favourite camera came out some time ago.
So I was wondering if it is really worth upgrading or if I should stick with my Yi 1.
Can anyone tell me how big the quality difference is ( especially in 1080p since I won't be 4k too much)

Generally speaking, even if your final project's going to be 1080p, you're better off shooting 4K footage and scaling it down in post. It tends to do a much better job of creating sharper footage than just shooting 1080p in the camera.

Anyway, I have a Yi 2 on the way. No idea how long it's going to take to show up, though.

On Yi1, 1080p it's upscaled from a lower resolution. I think on Yi2 1080p is native mode...

I think on Yi1, the max "real" resolution is 1152 x 960 or something like that...

That's not even 720p once you 16x9 it, and the footage I've been getting from mine definitely looks better than upscaled 720p. Seems very odd to do that with a 16MP sensor.
