The A119 had a very good picture when it released. As the electronics and firmware were improved, so did the picture quality. The v3 addressed some shortcomings of the original and the S model as well.
If the A129 follows a similar path, I could see why its initial PQ might not be as good as it could be capable of but will improve as they make updates to the firmware and such. At launch, though, since the camera internals are "new", I could see where the A119 v3 might be better given the amount of time they've had to tweak the image capture and rendering process...
