I'm a little short reaching my rear window. Maybe 2 feet short. This is for a SG9663DCPRO+

Is it OK to use an extension cable to reach the rear camera?

You can't use an extension cable, it won't work.
You can buy 8m video cable.
Also you may try to run supplied video cable along the ceiling side.
What vehicle do you have?

Thanks, what I did was just use the straight USB cable, even though the double 90 degree made more sense for my install.

I had no idea they would use different length cables, should have made them both long.

The straight plug is the only one that will fit through tight grommet holes/boot covers to hatchbacks etc. The 90 degree cable can't be pulled through tight spaces.
For the updated SG9663DCPRO+ when it comes to the longer 6 meter cable make sure the straight plug goes into the rear camera and 90 degree plug goes into the front main dashcam.

Yeah with plug combinations like that, you have to plan ahead your wire routing, or you can find yourself in a world of pain.
