hi, i have a rear camera wired and the front one just died. is it possible to change a brand of the front unit and still connect the rear one as long as it supports the 1080 properties of the rear cam and has the same mini usb connection?
using hardwired rear cam with new brand dashcam- possible?

it was the mini0906. it worked great for a month and then died when i tried upgrading the version. the problem is that the rear camera wire is mini usb at the front and a 5pin connection at the rear. most other brands dont use 5 pin connection so i'm trying to go pass the need to hardwire a new cable.

it would have been a 10 pin connector, there are 6 wires used for the rear camera, get another Mini0906 front camera if you want to reuse the rear

if i'll keep spending 120$ every month for a new front camera i better just get a new one 
any recommandation? high quality, durable in high temperatures parking in the sun and powered by micro usb (dont want to touch the fuse haedwiring again).

yeah a better camera instead of trying to recycle a problem would be a better idea
