Using Yi4K+ as a dash cam

How the hell can I get this thing to stay on as dash cam? how does USB-C not have enough power going to it to keep it running? Is there a way to get this to work as a dashcam? Help !

Xiaomi yi 4k is not designed for use as a DVR. For this, YI has a special device (Xiaomi YI Smart Dash Camera, YI DVR 2.7K King Edition...).

Action cameras that have such a mode have a special item in the menu - DVR mode, like so, if you activate it, the camera will turn on when external power is applied. But no action camera can shut down when external power is disconnected.

If the car windows are closed , and you don't play the radio/disc player, voice control could fullfil this function, but it's glitchey-it sometimes switches to photo and shoots bursts uncommanded!
