Thanks for the info. I have a Samsung Ultimate 128GB v-nand card and I will put it in the camera (A119) next week. I will let you know how it turns out. What brand, model and size micro SD card are you using?
I tried a new Samsung 64GB with V-NAND chips, seems to work, need long term testing to confirm. The grade of memory chip used MLC or TLC directly relates to durability and rewrite cycles.
Bench testing with Dashcam in your hand I find 128GB cards generate more heat than 32 or 64GB, and when 60FPS video is selected it really heats up, which is a killer for micro SD cards.
Is that rumour, or proven fact?V-NAND is supposed to last longer than even MLC.
That uses MLC V-NAND while I think the micro SD cards use TLC V-NAND, plus there has been a bit of development since 2014, the results could be very different.https://www.anandtech.com/show/8239/update-on-samsung-850-pro-endurance-vnand-die-size
To quote: "The most promising aspect of V-NAND is its increased endurance and Samsung has claimed endurance of up to ten times of 2D NAND"
