Sorry to hear your dash cam isn’t powering on.
May I ask if you were using the original car charger to power it?
Could you please try powering the dash cam with a USB cable and a wall charger to see if it turns on?
 
okay it works via the car charger

sad to say less than a years service and its constantly asking for reformat on the sd card

For optimal performance and the higher likelihood of a trouble free experience, it's recommended to use the company branded MicroSD cards. Are you using a Vantrue MicroSD or what brand?
 
yes its their own brand supplied with the camera , didnt make it 12 months 🙁
