Dumb question of the day - I do not have LTE module - what app should I use moving forward?
Since Vantrue Connected v1.0.8 seems to be newer, should we all stick to that app?

UPDATE: Vantrue Connected is definitely better written app.
- HDR timer menu option actually works
- Voice command menu actually list commands

My recommendation is keep it simple and for all E360 devices just recommend/use Vantrue Connected

I have to admit, when I loaded the Vantrue app on my iPhone I spent way too much time trying to understand if I wanted the Vantrue or Vantrue Connected app.
Descriptions for both apps say the exact same thing "Vantrue (or Vantrue Connected) is used to view the GPS route tracker captured by the Vantrue car driving recorder"

I would have expected the descriptions to say "Control the Vantrue dashcam and view live and recorded videos" and "Vantrue Connected adds LTE Module functionality".

What is the GPS route tracker and what does it have to do with the app?

It just seems really odd that the description of this app only references a secondary or tertiary function (GPS route tracker) and not the primary functions which are to change dashcam settings and manage video files.

Too bad dashcam companies can't let you sign up for email or text alert when new Firmware is available.
 
Connect your smartphone/iPhone more often via the application with your models
and the application will notify you about the release of new firmware.

1. Resolved the problem where some units lost parameters after upgrading the firmware following successful assembly.

2. Certification update: Removed UKCA and PSE certifications.

3. Fixed the Russian translation for “Voice Recognition.”

4. Bug fix: Resolved an issue where the on-screen message occasionally failed to disappear when entering Motion Detection mode.
