Dash Cam
Several brands :)
I'm back with another non-dashcam product made by a dashcam company. Since it's relevant for cars, why not cover it?
I’ve had the Vantrue JS1 Car Jump Starter in use for over six months now, and it’s become something I actually rely on regularly. It’s not just sitting in the trunk waiting for an emergency. I’ve used it plenty of times on weak car batteries, and twice on cars where the battery was completely dead and even the key fob didn’t work.

Here are some pictures.
The JS1 will arrive in a cardboard box.

Inside, the JS1 and its accessories are neatly packaged into the included storage bag.

Vantrue includes a 30W charger and a USB-C cable.
The clamps have a decent weight to them and don't feel cheap. They will hold on tightly.

Specs
  • Peak current: 3000 A
  • Internal battery: 20,000 mAh (74 Wh)
  • 15 V / 10 A DC output for small devices
  • USB-C and USB-A outputs for charging phones and tablets
  • Large backlit LCD display
  • Flashlight with 5 modes: high, medium, low, strobe, SOS

Usage
With any weak batteries, it has been absolutely reliable. Hook it up, wait a second for the green light, crank, done.
The two fully dead cars didn’t even show interior lights or respond to the key fob anymore.
In both cases, I hit the Boost button on the JS1 and the car started right up. That button forces a jump even if the battery is too low to trigger the normal jumping. Works like a charm and really impressed me.

Once the JS1 is connected, it will show the green START icon to show the user it is ready to provide power for starting the engine.

Phone charging over USB-A and USB-C is surprisingly fast. I don’t notice any difference compared to using a proper wall charger at home, which makes it great for traveling or just topping up on the go.
The JS1 will display output that is in use.

Different connectors at the bottom to use the JS1 as a power bank and the USB-C connector that can be used to charge devices from the JS1 and to charge it.
It also has a 15V 10A DC port.

Build and Handling
The JS1 feels solid and well-built. The display is big and easy to read, showing battery percentage and status info clearly. The flashlight has actually been useful a few times at night, and the mode options are a nice bonus.
The only downside is the 15 V DC output. While it’s nice to have, I’d personally prefer something between 12 and 13.5 V to better match typical automotive accessories.

Good Stuff
  • Starts weak or even completely dead batteries with no issues
  • Boost function works great when the battery is too low to respond
  • Fast phone charging, no need for a wall outlet
  • Rugged build with a clear display
  • Bright flashlight with multiple modes
  • DC output for accessories

Worth It?
Yes. 100%. Vantrue occasionally includes the JS1 as a bonus when you buy a dashcam, and if you ever see that deal, grab it.
Even if you’re buying it separately, it’s absolutely worth the money. You won’t be stuck somewhere waiting for a stranger or calling roadside assistance. You fix it yourself, right then and there. Or you can even help out a person that is stranded.
