As with the N4 Pro S, the 4-channel N5S will also be released in the near future.
While we have no official specs yet, it can be assumed that the front camera and the 3 other channels will get an upgrade.
It's possible that we will see the IMX675 on the 3 rear and interior channels, while the front-facing camera will either keep it, or get an upgrade to the IMX678 and 4k resolution.
As seen in the screenshot below, the N5S will also be compatible with the LT01.

Assumed specs:
  • HDR Clear Recording
  • STARVIS 2
  • PlatePix™ Technology
  • Compatible with LTE Module
  • 10s Pre-Recording Buffered Motion Detection
  • 5GHz WiFi & Free App
  • Smart Voice Control

If taking a closer look at the picture from within the Vantrue app, the mount will also be able to slide off the mount like the N2X or N4S, and N4 Pro S.

It can't be long until we get official information.
 
I got some news regarding the N5 S.
After a bit of digging, I found some more specs on it.

Resolution:
  • Front+Front Cabin+Rear Cabin+Rear 1944P+1080P+1080P+1440P 30FPS
  • Front+Front Cabin+Rear 1944P+1080P+1440P 30FPS
  • Front+Rear Cabin+Rear 1944P+1080P+1440P 30FPS
  • Front+Front Cabin 1944P+1080P 30FPS
  • Front+Rear 1944P+1440P 30FPS
  • Front 2592x1944P 30FPS

Camera Angle:
  • Front: 158° wide viewing angle
  • Front Cabin: 160° wide viewing angle
  • Rear: 165° wide viewing angle
  • Rear Cabin: 160° wide viewing angle

Aperture:
  • Front: F1.8
  • Front Cabin: F1.8
  • Rear: F1.8
  • Rear Cabin: F1.8
This means the front channel keeps the IMX675. No 4k in the front. Just hoping for HDR on all or at least on the front and rear channel.
The rear camera gets upgraded from 1080p to 1440p.
While it would have been nice to have more resolution, both interior cameras stay at 1080p. This shouldn't be an issue.
No big surprises here.

Wonder how the dimensions compare to the other boys waiting in the wings too, with this N5S. Agreed on the resolution bump would have been nice too...

It's no surprise that it is compatible with the LT01.
The S version is more of an evolution than a revolution. A nice upgrade to better image sensors.

I am still confused that like old N5 the front only have WDR where as the rear have HDR ?

I would have preferred if that was the other way around.
 
I don't think Rear Cabin Cam is very useful
 
I think it will get a shot ( identifying ) when a person get in the car, but yes otherwise it will only film what the person back there do.

My exact thoughts.
Seems like we have to wait a bit more until we can see how it will perform in the night.

It will strongly depend on the user.
For ride share this should be useful.
The rear cabin camera should also be able to capture the sides a bit more than any other camera.
