Vantrue Nexus 5S / 4CH / Novatek NT98529 + Sony STARVIS 2 / HDR+ WDR / Wi-Fi / GPS / Voice Control / Support LTE-Module / Video and Screenshots

Really? That's too unfortunate. I thought the front camera was the same as the N4S
Unfortunately, the N5S model does not have the PlatePix function and there is no HDR on the front camera.

Unfortunately, I can't promise a video from the rear camera quickly. It's been raining for 2 weeks now.
And I'm very busy for the next 2 weeks and I won't have time to experiment at all...
I managed to shoot the video above in between the rains and that's because I had an N4S installed on the windshield
and I only had to change it to an N5S.
I hope that the quality of the video from the N5S rear camera will be much better than that of the N5.
I remember I was very disappointed with the quality of the video from the N5 rear camera.

Today after the trip I changed the memory card in the N5S and noticed that it heats up less compared to the N5.
Maybe it seemed to me, but in my opinion the manufacturer has improved the cooling in the new models.

Definitely cannot read plates at night. However, the 4 channel setup is useful for other scenarios. I got sent this camera, but haven't had time to test. I'm following your thread to see how things go!

No HDR, no readability of oncoming car numbers at night.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to deal with DVRs now.
I haven't installed a single rear camera in my car yet.

I've installed the N4S and S1 Pro Max with their rear cameras in one vehicle (family members) and the N4 Pro S in my vehicle. I had the N2X in mine as well, but I swapped it for the N4 Pro S. I put the E1 Pro in another vehicle (Family members)... As I've installed all these cameras to test their functionality and reliability. Just haven't had a lot of time to play with the N4S or S1 Pro Max beside making design suggestions which Vantrue took seriously.

All their rear cameras are getting a makeover within the next 1-2 months based on my feedback.

I do plan to test out the N5S but it'll be a bit before I get to it. Thus, I definitely appreciate your thread!

Today N5S 2СН, connected via Hardwire KIT_VP05, worked without problems
in parking mode in a closed car at a temperature of +36° - +37°С for more than 6 hours.

The first check was after almost 3 hours in the parking lot.
The temperature outside was +36°C.

The second check was after more than 6 hours in the parking lot.
The temperature outside was +33.5°C.

The second time, unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the N5S.
