Video quality decreased?

Hi anyone noticed the video being worse than before? To me it seems that it was much shaper when I bought my Dash Cam pro year ago than it it now with latest firmware. I am using the 1444p setting. And it looks to me more artefacty than before.

The focus of a camera can slide, but most often it is due to heat, and i dont think you guys have had a lot of that lately.

not too much, but when I got mine it was summer so if the heat was the issue it should've been worse back then no? Wish I saved more clips from back then to do better comparison :/

soft picture would be a focus issue, artefacts are normally too low bitrate, make sure you're comparing the same type of scene though as some situations are a lot harder to encode than others

I will try to drive to the same location and compare to some older videos i found. The focus looks fine to me. It not blurry it's just like you said the bitrate is low. Kind of like when you upload video to youtube and it gets all messed up.
