Hi all,

No it is not. I tested it and the videos are 4k and outstanding.
Can you post a short raw video file for us to have a proper look at so we can check for 4K detail?

Actually, given the low bitrate, it doesn't need to be short!

The camera might well be able to output 4K video, but this do not mean the sensor are 4K and so it is a true 4K camera.
This is the so called upscaling, where you take a lesser resolution 1080p or 2.7K and then in the camera scale it up to 4K and then save that, but thats like taking a car and make it much larger but it still have the little 1.0 engine so its not really worth it.

If you don't go by true 4K, then we have had 4K dashcams around for 4-5 years if not longer, cuz in some places the use of a 4 mpix sensor ( often the omnivision OV 4689 ) mean its okay to call your product 4K

This thread will explain what is really 4K and what isn't, and why this is so. Still very few true 4K dashcams on the market but it's getting better. Many 1080P and 2K cams can give better vid quality than some 4K ones do, so for now 4K is as much hype as help in selecting a dashcam until you do your research by comparing raw vids ;)

And as always, you don't get what you don't pay for so if a cam is cheap, it's not going to be real 4K.

Phil
