VIOFO А119V3 FIRMWARE

You got the email as well.

I'm not interested in multi channel setups. My V3's are still performing without issue.

If it's any help, here is my Dropbox directory where all my versions are stored :

>> Krem V3 Firmware Collection <<

Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll try again.
Born-again newbie here, haven't been back in years. Had an old B40 that just died and picked up a V3 last week.
Awesome, thanks for the archive. is there a change log for the official and modded firmwares? I didn't see one.

Does the hold mic button still enable H.265 in revision 2.6?

There is a collection of official firmware collected by the user "Falsificator" known changes are written there, though in Russian.

Thanks, vvs49. Which method/program do you use to zoom into the number plate?
I screen clip the freeze frame and paste it to "Microsoft Paint" to zoom in. Mine looks blurry wth paint.
In these shots, passing cars are very slow like 20-30 km/h.
With higher car speeds I could not get clear freeze frames like Karagandinez;

Firmware "V2.6T_(20211203)_HDR_Auto"
Settings;

- 2560x1080
- High bit rate
- HDR_Auto (Day=Off, Night=On)
- EV= -1,3
- 30 fps
- CPL not installed
- Viofo A119 V3 installed at the center line of the windshield

Which method/program do you use to zoom into the number plate?
In MPC-BE press numpad 9 for zoom in. Press 4 or 8 or 2 or 6 to move the zoomed area. Pressing 5 will reset the zoom.
When you have on the screen the desired zoomed area you can take a screenshot.

To take a snapshot of original frame press Alt+i in MPC-BE and save as PNG.
You can zoom it with the small and free program called Irfanview.

1.01 ?

Viofo site still shows :

Firmware Update

FWA119V3.bin (5.41 MB)
Version: V2.6_20220808

What firmware and what settings do you suggest for A119A for driving at night?
I need good visibility of license plates.

The latter on the official website shoots no worse.

What I find interesting is that I've found the older WDR to be better than HDR for daytime freeze frame and Viofo's latest dashcam has gone back to WDR.

I wonder if HDR is under development again.

What model are we talking about?

All Viofo models at release were with WDR, and only then in the firmware WDR was replaced with HDR.
The exception is the A139PRO, in which the HDR was already implemented in the firmware when the model was released.

What software are you using to freeze the frames?

In the MPC-BE player, during a freeze frame, "save image".

Thanks for the freeze frame software.
It turned out that I have the firmware you suggested. The settings are the same.
But the videos are of poor quality. What could be the cause?

That's just motion blur as the camera is using a slower shutter speed to compensate for the low light conditions. Unfortunately, that is about what you can expect under the circumstances. Notice that everything else in the image that is not moving is perfectly clear and sharply delineated. Some firmware will perform better than others but there is a limit to what you can achieve under darker lighting. In bright sunshine the same image would be sharp.

I thought I had bad firmware.
I understand that other settings in this situation will not help?

Your video is of normal quality, except for reading numbers. In such a situation, it will not be possible to see the license plates on a black car,
but on a red car, with HDR turned on, the numbers should be readable.
