They'll probably prosecute him for it, partly because the vid clearly shows he's much too fast for the traffic conditions. In other words reckless. Don't know if they can prosecute those but the hit-and-run is blatant and obvious even to my very bad ears.

As soon as I get any footage that fits you requirements I will sent it.

During recent heavy snow fall and 4 Espresso beverages (visibly obvious when 4th cup was consumed) created this useful tutorial, enjoy . . .

Could not be explained any easier but there will still be some numpties that will get it wrong.

These Public Stable MODs have +10 and +5 increased color Saturation tweak. View the A119 ChangeLog for full details.
Requesting Test Footage comparing 6Rj / 4Rj to Stock 4.00 FW with CPL On , should be very revealing.

This comparison between A129 1080P vs A119 1440P resulted in minor firmware adjustments to color saturation and sharpness in both Dash Cams. Download the A119's new color MODs in the Bitrate of your choice 24 or 26 Mb/s. Recommend 24 Mb/s for reduced file size or 26 Mb/s for improved image quality.

Quick update on current A119 V2 Beta MOD-4Rk developments.
As a result of recent A119 vs A129 side by side comparisons many A119 image quality issues were revealed. The soon to be released Rk series MODs produce a much better image, shockingly different. Further daytime testing is required, hopefully Sun makes an appearance tomorrow.

See the sun at times here. It is as the wind blows the cloud and rain along. An improvement is all ways welcomed.

Created new A119 - STABLE MOD versions 6Rk, 5Rk, 4Rk
ChangeLog >
https://viofo-dash-cam-modified-firmware.blogspot.com/p/download-a119-mod-file.html

The Rk series MODs are designed to enhance Color and increase Brightness, adjusted Sharpness to an acceptable level. Decided to redesign and simplify the A119 Download website. View the A119 ChangeLog page for full details.
The new Color enhancement has room to increase without affecting the altered Sharpness. The official firmware colors are dull, take this color enhanced MOD for a test drive.
Recommend 24 Mb/s for reduced file size or 26 Mb/s for improved image detail.
Higher Bitrate MODs improve image detail and increase MP4 video clip size.

Here is a link to Google drive with 2 samples.
From posting this morning until I actually went out the sun became hidden behind some grey clouds.

Best to download rather that view via Google drive

This cloudy day 6Rk test footage is excellent at showing the improvement higher 26 Mbps bitrate has while driving on narrow tree lined roads. Drive 1 is my favorite route with cat and mouse on roof, also nice to see spring flowers in Drive 2. well done Sir, thank you for the timely RAW video clips.

Seeking Beta Testers with Tinted windshield.

Many vehicle owners with Tinted front windshield have noticed reduced detail and increased motion blur in Dash Camera recorded video footage. Removing CPL Filter and adjusting Lens angle for maximum Brightness are helpful. The A119 Firmware doesn't include the Brightness setting yet but this hidden option can be modified. There are 4 Brightness tables I'd like to adjust but I don't have a tinted windshield to assess image quality changes.
If you are interested in testing multiple versions of Tint MODs let me know.

This Tinted MOD project may also interest those driving mostly at night and Dashcams mounted on Rear Tinted window.
DCTeam Testers will verify modified firmware stability as usual.

I am running "FWBA119_MOD-6Rk_v4.00+26Mbps+Enhanced+DCTeam.bin"
Twice yesterday the camera stopped recording The first after the sixth file was recorded in TS format, the second after two files were recorded. The first one stopped between files (all files were the same length) the second stopped in the middle of a file (while waiting at a stoplight). The camera did not resume recording until it was power cycled. The camera did not start beeping as it does when it has trouble with the memory card. I would call this a bug as it fails silently.

Running 6Rk no problems encountered. I use MP4 as the files are more compatible. It is almost certainly your SD-Card or power supply that's the problem. You can try lengthening the start delay in the menus. You also need to check that the dashcam is getting constant power and you do not have supply fault. If the camera is not starting or shutting down because of power supply faulty the cam will not beep.

It is not the power supply. I am running two cameras on that same power supply, and the second camera did not even glitch.
I do not understand how the startup delay can affect a problem that starts at least six minutes after the camera starts recording.
Also, when the camera looses power, it makes a shutdown sound effect.
The whole point of using TS format is that if the camera is destroyed in an accident, the last file is usable.

The shut down noise is the camera indicating loss of power if you believe your power is OK then check the cables. Are the dashcam the same make and model. I have 2 A119 and they both start and stop at slightly differing times. It may be that a momentary loss of supply triggers one to switch off whilst the other may just stay on long enough to ride the loss of power. It all depends on the state of the capacitors.

what memory card are you using?

Since this is the first time installing a different fw on my A119, I might not understand everything correctly, therefore I would like to apologize in advance! But I installed the 6RK fw and all went well. At start I get the DC logo and checking in the menu it mentions the right (new) fw. Step 10 in the tutorial that I followed mentions: Step 10) Set Date, Time Zone, Resolution, Bitrate, Loop Recording, Sharpness... . That's just it. The menu is the same as the default one and I can't find how to change the bitrate and sharpness for example. This is probably a noob question but I hope someone can make things clear to me. Thanks!
