VIOFO A329T (front) + A229 Pro (back)
On the page for the newly released HK6 Hardwire Kit, Viofo mentions:

*Currently supports: A229 Ultra, A119 M Pro, A329S Series.

(It's under Automatic Voltage Display)

Has anyone heard about this new model?

I'm wondering if the Pro moniker means a resolution increase.
It'd be interesting to see if it will feature a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor to compete with the Vantrue E1 Pro.

Yep looking good for a little windscreen shooter, i hope as it is a single sensor it support huge bitrates.

Having no doubts what so ever it will be a top 3 single channel system.

Agreed.

Being able to use two different memory cards at the same time and having higher bitrates on both front and back is a big reason I like running two different dashcams.

Normally it does,

I think a smaller 4K sensor would be disappointing, so it seems very likely that it will be an IMX678, and hopefully at twice the bitrate of the E1 Pro!

It would be nice to at least have the option to go all in, and make like +1 GB 3 minute segments
But things like that of course mean you need to have thermal headroom.

I don't mind if it reduces the bitrate a bit in southern temperatures!

Last time I checked it was only 37 Mbps, but I have a feeling it might get cranked up with fully finished public firmware.
The big news is we only got a $10 price increase from the A119 Mini 2, and we get IMX678, and upgraded processor, and a bunch new features.
$150 MSRP: A119 Mini 2 (IMX675) 2K
$160 MSRP: A119M Pro (IMX678) 4K

Looks like a very good deal. Maybe we have to thank the competition (Vantrue E1 Pro) a little bit for that haha

Thoughts on A119M Pro vs single-channel A229 Pro?

Looks like a decent feature set.
Unfortunately no low power impact detection or hybrid parking modes though.

I'm confused by the "new" format 100 ms / 200 ms / 500 ms.

Maybe we need an E1 Pro vs. A119M Pro side by side comparison.

A119M Pro: 1CH Apple
A229 Pro: 3CH Orange

Do you mean "not yet"?

100ms = 0.1s = 1/10s
200ms = 0.2s = 1/5s
500ms = 0.5s = 1/2s
Therefore you get timelapse with frames recorded at 10 / 5 / 2fps, up from the normal 1fps.

Can you edit the thread title from A119 Mini Pro to A119M Pro?
The incorrect name might confuse folks.

I don't see any mention of LPID or hybrid parking modes on the Viofo page, so no.

If you know something different then I'll leave it to you to say "not yet".

I just realized the A119M Pro is actually $7 cheaper than A119 Mini 2 because now the CPL Filter is included.

Well why didn't they just say that?
Not everyone knows how to use a calculator. lol

LPID not yet.

They do suggest that you buy an HK6 to go with it, which enables the hybrid parking modes in the A329S. If it isn't going to have hybrid parking mode, then why choose the HK6.

"Optional Accessories: VIOFO Type-C HK6 ACC Hardwire Kit for A329S Series, Support Hybrid Parking Mode, Automatic Voltage Display, Low Power Consumption"

and upgraded processor,
Also, from the Viofo page: "Featuring the latest video processing chip, "

Need some power consumption figures for parking mode...

Done (but awaiting approval). Didn't know that was possible, so thanks for the heads up 👍
