Motion detection does not seem to be functional in low-light at all. It records pretty much all night (at least until the SD card is full - see other post)

It appears motion detection too sensitive in low-light conditions?

Are there any settings to fix this? Or will it be resolved in a future firmware update?

The "blacks" are also very grainy and continually "fuzzy" too - perhaps causing this?

Config: Viofo A119S v2 hardware, V1.6 firmware, Loop recording turned off, Motion detection turned on, GPS enabled, G sensor Off

Motion detection doesn't work all that well in any Novatek based dashcam. What's your need for motion detection exactly, better off getting a larger memory card. Recording 24/7 can exceed the specs when parked in the sun as well especially in Australia

It's as a covertly-placed motion-sensing camera to be placed overnight in a concealed area (outdoors) to record vandalism. The area has motion-sensor LED lights that come on that should "trigger" the motion detection. Unfortunately continuous recording at night takes up a lot of storage...32GB is only enough for about 3 hours at 1080p30.

FYI, a 20000 mAh LiPO USB battery pack (Xiaomi) lasts about 2 days on continuous recording.
