Created a quick A129 Wifi Bit Rate Beta to see if this will boost recorded footage from 16Mbps to 18Mbps while Wifi is connected.
@Forsberg @gse may want to test this and keep extra microSd card with other firmware ready to update if this Beta fails to load.

suggest testing with Wifi disabled and enabled, with dual cameras connected.

I tested it and with WiFi ON it is capped at ~8Mbit, with WiFi OFF it is more likely around 16 Mbit as I noticed. So if you set this higher it just cannot do it (physically) or there is more low level firmware which caps it at 16 Mbit.

Thanks for testing MOD-5D dual camera 18Mbps version. Its understandable during Wifi LiveView bit rate will be throttled. I fail to understand why both cams cannot record in 20Mbps or 20 on front and 16 rear. Must find these other hidden bit rate values. Plan to keep searching unless its confirmed to be fully locked limit.

current MOD-7D & 5D August 26
If you'd like to try a different IQ combination let me know - could set saturation to defaults and increase sharpness a few levels. Don't have enough footage to determine further adjustments yet.

- new Parking Mode Beta for 3-wire-kit.
- lowered Saturation 5 levels from 32-28-15-15 to 27-23-10-10.
- changed Sharpness from 64 to 34 (phase 0).
- increased Edge Detection from 128 to 178.

Actually still need and use under ground parkade videos and still photos comparisons. I use that method locally before releasing any of my MODs. Buy a good quality Power Bank for these types of tests.

Initial findings of MOD-5E, compared to current beta parking FW:
- Bitrate still at 16.4Mbps when set to HIGH
- Reduced sharpness is a small improvement. Less halos. Better definition of fine details.
- Camera did not enter timelapse parking mode automatically

Both cameras 1080p30, HIGH bitrate, no CPL, WDR off, EV+0

I forgot to reset defaults before testing. I will do that next time I'm in the car, if it makes any difference. I also need to align the cameras a bit better.

EXCELLENT Testing Setup!!
Many owners of other models (A119Pro/A119S) don't know the baseline A129 IQ is different and saturation is very unique in A129. Default A129 Bit Rate 1080@60fps=20Mbps. MOD-5E is copied from older A119S IQ, not the best idea but does lessen the over-sharpening. I have huge plans for A129 but waiting for more active owners to contact me. In the next 10 days this thread will 'explode' with excitement and activity. Looks like @TonyM will have a jump on DCTEAM testers.
If you are ready to begin testing the new 4Ra/b/c/d MODs I'll start uploading them today. These initial 4R series MODs adjust low and high sharpness values for baseline adjustments later.
The Bit Rate will always drop when rear camera is connected or Wifi is enabled but all other modified image quality adjustments will load.

I don't have a lot of time, but Viofo kindly sent me two units so I'm happy to put them to good use.

My test setup is without rear cameras at the moment, although I can change that later. I have one installed, but not both.

Asking for help testing A129 modified Sharpness values for Soft / Normal / Strong (Low/Med/High).
MOD-4Ra is lower sharpness level 60, should it drop lower?? Overall range is 40-80 where 80 is official v1.42 level.
