A little about the operation of the GPS modules in my A329 and A229 Pro...
A229 Pro 2CH was purchased at the end of August and was installed in another car.
At the beginning of winter, I installed A329 1CH and A229 Pro 2CH in the main car.
The models are on the windshield at the same level and about 25 cm from each other.
Since a lot has already been written here about detecting a GPS signal on these models,
I decided to check how the GPS modules behave on my models.
Both models have the latest available firmware. After viewing the memory cards from both models,
I found that the speed stamp after starting recording appears faster on the A229 Pro 2CH than on the A329 1CH.
This happens with every cold start.

Over several days of monitoring, the longest time from the start of recording until the speed stamp
appeared on the video was 60 seconds for the A229 Pro versus 70 seconds for the A329.

A229 Pro is connected via HK3-C.
A329 is connected via HK4.
Power to HK3-C and HK4 is disconnected during long-term parking / overnight near the house.

Since I have a VS1 installed on the rear window, I installed the rear camera from the A329 on the windshield, slightly to the right of the left pillar.

Front video quality looks great! I'm having to replace a failing camera, and the A329 looks like it's gonna be the one for me. Thank you for sharing these samples.

I do hope VIOFO will lessen the extreme sharpening on the rear camera in a future update. It is way too over-sharpened and it looks almost like 1080p video to me because of how over-sharpened it is. Not terrible quality by any means, but it would definitely look so much better with less sharpening.

The rear camera of the Viofo A329 is installed on the windshield slightly to the right of the left pillar.

No more experimenting with installing a rear camera on the windshield instead of a telephoto.
Viofo made a telephoto camera that works with the A329 instead of a rear camera. 👍
This telephoto camera also works with the A329S when connected to the rear camera jack.
