I have a VIOFO A329S 2CH (4K front + 2K rear) and I've noticed a concerning issue with the recordings while driving.
For some reason, when one clip ends and the next begins, the new clip sometimes includes around 7–12 seconds of footage from the end of the previous clip, so the two clips overlap. Other times, the transition is completely normal, with the next clip starting exactly where the previous clip finished.
More concerningly, however, I've found that some clips don't start until around 7–12 seconds AFTER the previous clip has ended, meaning there is potentially a 7–12 second period where no footage has been recorded at all.
For example:
Previous clip ends: 15:40:12
Next clip starts: 15:40:19
Difference: 7 seconds
This is obviously a major concern because something important could happen during those missing seconds, which defeats one of the main purposes of having a dash cam — continuous recording and reliable evidence if an incident occurs.
To clarify, all of these recordings are from normal driving mode, NOT parking mode.
Has anyone experienced this issue with the VIOFO A329S 2CH, and does anyone know what could be causing it or how I can resolve it? I'd really appreciate some advice as a matter of urgency, as I need to be confident that the camera isn't leaving gaps in the footage while I'm driving.
I format the SD card on the app and the camera itself every 3 days as it gets full quite quickly.
Also what is the time supposed to be? Does each clip suppose to contain the last 7 or 12 seconds of the previous clip?
Maybe its something to do with parking mode settings (attached) but dont see how it could be to be honest.
