Since others have been given permission to start publicly discussing some of the test results regarding the brand new VIOFO BP-100 [main battery pack] and the EP-100 [expansion battery pack], I'll start posting info as I have time to work on testing that product.

This is a pre-production product!!! Keep that in mind. Things may drastically change between what version of the product I have and the firmware used in the BP-100 and when it is released as a production product.

I've performed a few charge / discharge tests with the BP-100 and EP-100 connected together. I don't have as detailed data for those test runs, but I do have monitoring camera footage of the tests.

My VIOFO BP-100 [no EP-100 connected] test times [so far] have been with a VIOFO A139 3CH dash camera connected to the BP-100 using the 12V-to-5V power adapter provided with the BP-100 [no low voltage cutoff]. The DC power supply remained on during the entire discharge test. The ACC power into the BP-100 was turned off for the discharge test. This is to simulate being connected to vehicle's battery while the BP-100 is powering the dash camera in parking mode.

Discharge Test: BP-100 fully charged, A139 Pro 3CH in Low Bitrate Parking Mode

20250713 19:46: Start - Turn off ACC input to BP-100, A139 Pro 3CH starts low bitrate parking mode
20250714 06:51: Finish - BP-100 turns off due to low battery pack voltage

Total time: 11 hours 26 minutes

The voltage data logger that I had monitoring the 12V output voltage from the BP-100 to the A139 Pro 3CH:

The BP-100 output voltage just as it turned off was 10.11V - having a light that fully illuminates the data logger's LCD screen, also causes a reflection/glare making it so the monitoring camera cannot record its contents. 🙂

You always find the most wonderful tools to make our job easier. lol
I don't have that data logger, so I was "stealing" a voltage signal from the unused input/output from the EP100.
I got 10.41V at end of discharge cycle.

@rcg530 ... have you opened the BP-100 to see the cell type and configuration? I am curious as well if the cells are tack-welded or pressure-fitted in place.

No, I have not opened the BP-100.

That part of my mind that likes to tinker with things is curious about the 'innards'. I may purchase a BP-100 when it becomes available and perform a teardown on it.
 
If that was low bitrate parking mode then it is a BP104 ?
I'm not sure what you are saying "BP104"? I use a VIOFO A139 Pro 3CH during charge/discharge tests. That's what I used for the "load" when I tested the other dash camera battery packs. I have the A139 Pro configured for low bitrate parking mode during the discharge tests.

Based on the discharge time, and your measurement of A139 low bitrate power consumption, you got 104 Wh out of it, not 100 Wh as the BP100 name suggests. Assuming the power consumption measurement is still valid.
 
No, I have not opened the BP-100.
On the corners there are 4 screws under the small shinny plastic part which is glued. You need to remove only the front screws.
 
Any update on when this battery pack will go on sale? Also what is its compatibility with the HK6 kit for cars that are driven very infrequently?

I have not received any info from VIOFO about the official product release for the BP-100/EP-100 battery packs. Since the SEMA show is in one month, we might hear something by the SEMA show [just guessing].

Re connectors and ports, I don’t know if it’s been listed elsewhere and I haven’t seen, but what do we have…?

– Is the Input MR60 or MR30, I can’t quite tell the sizing..?
– The Ext/In are XT connectors ?
– Output (Dashcam) a 4-pin Molex of some kind..?


Just useful info for potential longer cable lengths….

Has anybody tested the BP-100 to see how it performs during cold temperature (32F and below) charging?
I'm not seeing any in the search results.
 
So in summary the battery was not charging at 10F or 14F (which is good) but was able to pass current to the load.
It would be good to see it still not charging at say 30F but that might be tricky without a test chamber.
I wonder when this battery will be available?
