So I already installed the Viofo polarizing lens filter to the front camera and I was happy with the results.

So I bought another for the rear. Are these filters not intended for cameras that are behind tinted glass?

Now I'm getting a rainbow affect from the camera because of the tint.

Any suggestions?

Tempered glass is under stress. This sometimes shows up when you look through it with polarized glasses. The polarizer helps to minimize reflections from the dash board, and the wind screens of cars so you can more clearly see what the occupant is doing. The drawback is that they cut the amount of light getting to your sensor in half. Everything is a compromise, what are your priorities?

Thanks for your help DAP.

I had this same problem when I wear polarized sunglasses.

Removed the filter for now until I can find another solution.
