Viofo UK - good idea?

Swietny Pomysl, ale prosze tez Niemcy
Great Idea, but please Germany too

I'd like to see Viofo products available locally

Most of viofo's products are available to UK some way or another anyway, usually via Amazon and eBay

It could be a good idea, especially if they have a physical presence in the UK. At this point nobody knows for certain what will happen in the UK's international trading future, but I think it safe to say that eventually UK laws will be favoring UK merchants over those elsewhere. Customer service is the key, and if Viofo Polska does that well, they should profit from it.

service levels can make a world of difference, there are local sellers in the UK already, not all of them have a great track record when it comes to service though, even so if an identical product is on offer and all else appears equal then there is a tendency for most people to buy locally, the service differences is not something they find out until after the fact and it's too late unfortunately

Soon, we are planing to open a local store and a dedicated website. In addition, we will handle complaints and in the case of hardware problems, you will easily find help.

But by this time next year, Amazon, currently based in Luxemburg (European Union) where it pays almost no tax, will not be a UK retailer. Amazon's boss is so worried about brexit that he is predicting: "Amazon's UK chief Doug Gurr has claimed Britain will descend into "civil unrest" in weeks if it leaves the EU with no trade deal in place."!

Presumably they will open a real UK based Amazon store, probably based in Jersey, or IOM (Not UK), and pay proper UK taxes :D Then maybe the smaller companies like ViofoPolska will be able to compete properly, unlike the present broken system.

One thing is for sure; the trade deal that Mr Amazon wants will not happen, we are definitely leaving the EU "tax free" trade area.

What are your preferences, you are buying electronic stuff at:

1. Amazon.co.uk
2. ebay.co.uk
3. other webstore (which one)
4. regular store (which one)

At present, 1 and 2! It only really depends on which is selling for cheaper at the time I'm looking for something

1, then 3. (specialist supplier)

According to traffic of our website, the UK is 4th most visit country.
But we didn't sell very well in UK, not easy to promote a Chinese brand if no local store and distributor support.
For selling on Amazon, as I know, most of Chinese sellers also pay TAX now, it is very high.
