Viofo was kind enough to send me a WR1 to review. Due to moving and a business trip, was not able to get to this review until now.

Size Comparison
SG9665GC - WR1 (Suction Cup Mount) - Mobius - A119S
SG9665GC - WR1 (No Mount) - Mobius - A119S
SG9665GC - WR1 (Adhesive Mount) - Mobius - A119S
First thing I did was upgrade to V1.1 - very easy to do following the Viofo instructions on their website.
App
I used the Android Viofo App using an Android Smartphone and an Android car audio headunit. The app connected fairly painlessly for me on both my phone and headunit. I used the app to initially aim the WR1. The image produced is near real time and very smooth. One time the image stopped, but it quickly reconnected.
Changing the setting was also very easy and intuitive. I much prefer using an app to change settings then the buttons on standard dashcams. I had no issues streaming content from the WR1 to my phone, it all played seamlessly. I did get stuttering on my headunit though - probably more a function of the headunit as it was handling multiple activities. Downloading content worked fine as well. I still don't prefer to download via WiFi, it's just slow compared to putting the card in your computer/phone. It took about 2 minutes to download a 3 minute clip.
Day Performance
Was able to directly compare the WR1 to the A119S - both used without a polarizing filter. Still images below to compare identical scenes.

WR1 images appear "yellower" than the A119S. Overall, I prefer the images from the A119S (sharper, better color).

Sound
I had a "Popping" noise every 2-3 seconds. I used the supplied power adapter and cord, but the sound was there. Not terrible, but noticeable. Other than that, the sound quality is on par with the A119S and was more than acceptable.
Closing Thoughts
I like that the WR1 does not have a screen - I much prefer to use a phone to aim and change menu settings - really the only functions I need a screen for. WiFi and the app worked well with no hiccups for me, but this has a lot of variables involved, so YMMV. The WR1 can be discreet, especially if using the adhesive mount, and mounting it high on the windshield. The image quality I think is good, especially when you consider the price.
