Hey guys, I want to be able to watch A119's recoded videos on my mobile, without using my laptop. The scenario I predominantly have in mind is when I'm in an accident and I want to review the footage with the policemen. Do I need a micro SD to phone reader? Is it as simple as plugging the micro SD from the A119 and putting into the reader, and then connecting to my phone? Or are there formatting issues? I use iPhone 6S and iOS 10.3.2, if that matters. I'm not a very technology-prone person so an Amazon link to a tried-and-tested budget item would be great. Thanks in advance for your help!

why would you want to review it right away with the policemen?
when I had an accident last year (100% not my fault, and I didn't have the cameras at that time) I was asked by police if I have the video and I said "yes". right after the accident I made some video on my iphone but that was not what I was asked for, now I know. and now I have the cameras. :)

This one works great for iOS
https://www.amazon.com/gp/B01MU07761A119 Videos are compatible too

It used to be $10 but they raised the price since I bought one.

I just bought 2x very similar products. probably came from the same factory and probably using the same app architecture.

they've been very good except that they scratch the plastic side of the SDcard but that's just cosmetic. and it's quite difficult to remove the card when inserted in the male USB plug.

they'll even play and transfer 4K 60Mbps video from my DJI mavic.

superfly

and another superfly

^note that these products are a lot more $ than the $10 unit because they came with a cheap, no-name but fast enough 128GB SDcard. I got them on lightning deal for about $30 each.

Looks like there are a bunch of new ones I don't recall seeing several months ago. I wouldn't trust using any generic 128GB cards in a dashcam full time. That's just asking for a missed recording.

But yeah these two are a better deal and is most likely from the same Dr Memory contract factory

This one could be interesting but it's not case friendly since the plug is thick/short.

Thanks for the detailed response OCD Tronic, based on your recommendations I purchased this one, it arrives in 2 days, I'll post my impressions in this thread when I have a chance to test it with A119 videos.

haha. yup, the included cards were just a bonus. they're being used in my point and shoot camera.

Update: I received the item (this one) and it works flawlessly with viewing recorded videos of A119 V2.06 using the app "iUSB Pro" (it's a free app, despite the name). I was pleasantly surprised that I can charge the phone while the micro SD is inserted and in use. Overall this item does everything I want it to do. One very small fly in the ointment is, micro SD card is very difficult to get out once it's inserted. It may just be my particular card (SanDisk High Endurance 32 GB) but I couldn't get it out with my relatively long fingernails. I was about try to use some tools to get it out (which isn't ideal because tools aren't always at one's disposal), but then I used my teeth to latch on to the groove on the micro SD card, and it worked. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase. Thanks, OCD Tronic!

I tried something yesterday. I did not insert the card all the way in. I find that it works just fine. So give it a shot and save your nails and teeth, dashercam!

Wow thanks. I am a dashcam newbie and this is what I was looking for. I am running an A119 in my Jeep and soon will be installing a system that replaces my rain sensor mount in my BMW...

I bought the valkit one last week.
Do any of you know of a tech support page for it? Works extremely well for dash cam videos but I'm having another problem.

explain your issue? we may be able to help.

I have a Samsung galaxie S5 and tried poping the memory card from the camera straight into the back of the phone and it works fine for viewing the card's contents and playing back the video files. Good to know!

I have a Iphone 6 and It will only show maybe 30 pictures of the hundreds on my phone.

are you in the camera roll folder? if you're in other picture folders (i.e. my photo stream), you will only see the contents of that folder. the camera roll will show every picture from every folder.

Yes. After counting I have 702 pics on my camera roll but exactly only 100 show up through the iusb app. The pics that do show up are very random. One of reviewers on amazon had the same problem.

have you done the usual troubleshooting methods?

1. force quit/re-launch app
2. delete/re-install app
3. force restart device
