Dash Cam
Viofo A119S V2, Lexar High Endurance Class 10 32GB memory
I have been looking around to upgrade my Viofo A119s V2 for a higher resolution and few more bells and whistle.
After buying a Garmin Dash Cam Model 66 I was not impressed and returned it to Amazon.

Well after chatting with a few folks here I decided why not stay with Viofo as it has been a dependable Dash Cam since 2016.
I plan on still using it in one of my other vehicle or just add it as a rear camera.
Anyway it will be used.

So my A119 V3 will be here soon and looking forward in learning the latest setup from you all as well as the things you like and hate.

This picture is what sold me instead of the A129 Dash Cam

The Viofo A119 V3 is indeed a good dashcam.

£ for £ or $ for $ I don't think you can do any better.

I'm able to setup similiar to my A119S but wanted to hear from others who have the A119 V3 and what they setup for the best resolution/clarity when driving.

These are all the available Choices
2560 x 1600p 30 fps
2560 x 1440p 30 fps
2304 x 1296p 30 fps
1920 x 1080p 60 fps
1920 x 1080p 30 fps
1290 x720p 120 fps
1280 x 720 60 fps
1280 x 720 30 fps

What I have read many like 2560 x 1600p 30fps as well as 2560 x 1440 30fps
Which do you use and like?

Also do you use and need the Polarized lens filter? I have one from my old A119s V2 if necessary
Thanks

I use 2560x1440 @30p. With 1600 vertical resolution you just get more of blue skies and more of the hood of your car.

Yes, definitely use it.

What is much more important is what do you like that gives you the results you're looking for in a dash cam? Play around with each of them and find your preference.

It will help get rid of reflections. If you have any then use it.

Interesting comments about resolutions.
I do plan on using it as a vacation camera on my future RV trips.
I have a motorhome and would like to take some good quality video of beautiful mountain scenery.
Like driving into the Grand Tetons NP south entrance or driving into Yellowstone NP from the Grand Tetons NP.
Both are amazing breathtaking panoramic views.

So I will play around and see whats comes out the best for the drive.
Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah and a Happy Kwanzaa and a Happy Birthday and a Happy New Year and I can go on and on and on....

Question. Do you know if the V3 can be mounted on the GPS mount of the V2 version?
That would save me a GPS mount and possible rewiring.
