Hi, we have a plug-in Prius hybrid (2014 I think) and would like a front-and-rear dashcam for it, ideally with parking mode. I think the Thinkware F770 sounds like it fits the bill, except I would prefer something more discreet. Price isn't a big concern.
A few questions...
- The Prius is almost always plugged in when parked at home. Does that mean that parking mode battery usage isn't a concern if I hard-wire it? Or would the power that is charging the li-on drive battery not be accessible to the installed camera?
- The camera will be within wifi range when parked at home. Can I expect to be able to view the camera footage from an app anytime, anywhere, if the camera is connected to wifi? Can I treat it like a security camera and have it save events to the cloud, send me alerts, etc, like how a Ring camera or similar work?
Thank you!
