So I'm currently focusing on the A329S/T series and only have a few more videos until I'm done with that. There's a ton of cool dashcams that I've got available to test and review next, and I wanna brainstorm which ones to prioritize.

Here's the ones at the top of the list, and my thoughts with each one:
  • Vantrue E1 Pro: I'm really liking this one and it seems like a solid go-to option for a front only dashcam
  • Vantrue E360 Ace: Interesting idea with the dual 360 cams. I've been on a 360 kick recently with the 70mai 4K Omni and Viofo A329S and I'd like to run through this to round out the series
  • Vueroid S1 4K Inifinite: Super exciting new dashcam with high end specs and a few cool advantages over even the A329S
  • 70mai T800: Perhaps a more affordable alternative to the A329S. With 4K/4K, I'd like to compare it to the Miofive, Redtiger F77, Vantrue S1 Pro Max, upcoming Blackvue, etc.
  • Wolfbox G900 Pro: Maybe the best RVM dashcam? I'd like to compare it to the Nexigo D90 Gen3, another 4K Starvis 2 dashcam, but that one seems like it's constantly unavailable
Here's the ones that I'll probably pass over, only using in comparisons with others when relevant:
  • Miofive S1 Ultra (4K/4K, but meh dashcam)
  • Akeeyo Eyes (Dual lens telephoto, but poor video quality and problematic)
There's also some new models coming like the upcoming Blackvues, N4 S Pro, etc. that I don't have yet, but I'd like to include once they're available. I'm also getting a ton of requests to test and review more models, but I keep declining everything, given my full queue and since most of the dashcams don't offer anything super unique or compelling over the existing options.

Right now my top 3 are probably the E1 Pro, E360, and S1 4K Infinite. Maybe I'll do the Vantrues first since I've already started playing with them and would like to knock those out before moving on to the Vueroid. Thoughts?

Good question. Those are nice but I think the overarching thing is that just as fast as you push out your reviews and testing, the next model has come out.

I think the Wolfbox G900 Pro (TriPro is the same so don't see the point except it has an extra bumper or interior camera), as they've revised the rear camera to be the new OmniVision, could easily knock that out of the park.

Would be nice to see your 360 series come to the end by the E360 shaping up against the 4K Omni and drawing your final conclusions.

E1 Pro seems like old news now, don't think it will gain traction since Vantrue have recently dropped N4S, S1 Pro max and there will be N5S and N4 Pro S too coming soon too.

S1 4K Infinite if only to see if it holds up to the Viofo A329S series - but I fear with their nearly eight or nine month delay between announcement and shipping that they've missed the boat.

T800 would be nice to see, again redtiger F77 is old news now as F17 elite has been launched and the other one from them that escapes me.

I would love to see a quick video on 70mai cloud features and apps and how you find it compared to the others - to round out experiences.

For real, lol. This has definitely been a busy year! Fortunately or unfortunately, things are somewhat stagnating on the radar detector side which is giving me more time to focus on dashcams. 🙂

Yeah it's nice to see them finally doing a proper 4K dashcam. I get a lot of requests for RVM dashcams, even though they're really not much thing, but this one is on the short list of ones I'd consider.

Definitely. I have a couple ideas on what I wanna do with the E360, and it's primarily focusing on the 360 stuff, coverage vs. detail.

That's true. I was thinking of doing a bunch of comparisons with the A119 Mini 2 and A329S, going over HDR and Platepix, different impact detection parking modes, etc. but I don't wanna turn this one into a big massive project either.

The delay definitely hasn't worked out in their favor and they've left the door open for people in this market to spring for the Viofo, for sure.

That said, I do appreciate these types of high end dashcams and so I'm curious about it regardless of how well it'll sell right now.
T800 would be nice to see, again redtiger F77 is old news now as F17 elite has been launched and the other one from them that escapes me.
Yeah, I've run a 4K/4K setup for years with a pair of 4K Blackvues in both directions and it's nice to see lots of options for this now out of the box.
I would love to see a quick video on 70mai cloud features and apps and how you find it compared to the others - to round out experiences.
For sure. That's on the list too. I considered doing it with the 4K Omni, but not sure yet if I'll do that with the T800 or what.

Lots to do, just a matter of what to do first. 🙂

Vantrue just admitted there's a bug with all their PlatePix cameras, so you might want to hold off reviewing any of those until it's fixed.

I'd be interested to hear what the S1 4K Infinite brings to the table.

There are a few new models with waterproof / external cameras. What benefit do they offer compared to internal cameras? Are they harder to install? Are they a pain to keep clean?

To add to this, how will the 4k ip67 ones hold up in the summer heat :/

While i do like to compare things, then i must admit that ship have sailed for me when it come to dashcams, and i almost feel like thankfully so.
I am simply not that much into this, or most things really.
Some times something catch on, and maybe CUZ i go too much all in, the things also soon fade again, especially when you also have a full time job to do, i so remember my gaming years, 7 -10 hours of work every day and 6-8 hours of competitive online gaming.
Actually i sort of think that is why to this day over 2 decades later i am still turned massive off by the games i use to like so much.
I am OK with just knowing, is this thing what it claim to be.
Running the T800 at the moment, well it do not seem very much suited to parking guard with its high power use, it drain the 70mai power bank in a little over half a day.
But otherwise i am liking it so far.

PS: Dont get me wrong i appreciate the guys that go full nerd on this stuff, though i never really cared much for like wattage and temperatures ASO things they come up with.
I do like to know will it give me a lift in performance on general dashcam parameters over the model i currently run, CUZ i would not be able to change dashcam as often as people change underwear.

One thing I forgot to mention was the ADAS thing. Might seem like I bash companies but I don't really like when they add or market features like this. Mainly cos they are nowhere near what is in vehicle in built systems, because of lack of processing power and lack of sensors. I've never had a decent experience with ADAS in any dashcam - so colour me surprised when Vantrue Intelligence was announced for their new products with added blind spot detection. Reading their user guide, I'm still not convinced either. I get that they're trying to keep up with the Joneses, cos like AI, it's the buzz word, but don't see the point. At least not yet.

Plenty of ideas overall, throw them all in a hat and pick one haha. It's summer over there now and the days are longer, so get to work haha

I have never ever tried ADAS and the other similar things in a dashcam, i am very sure it would absolutely drive me insane, so i do not dare to.
With all the stuff now more or less default in modern cars i am even beginning to think, when i go buy my last car soon, can i buy a new one or must i take a older one to avoid too much smarts.

70mai has been solid with their latest two releases. The Omni can be remotely rotated. It's a nice little feature to try and show others haha
Give it a try if you have time.

As for the G900 TriPro, there isn't much competition for it. Wiring the bumper version takes some time. Keep that in mind.

But I'm also interested in the Vueroid once it's available. Their software does sound interesting to blur faces and plates. (Especially useful for Germany with strict privacy laws)

Since the E1 Pro does run hot as well and is fine, I think they figured it out

Hopefully, Vantrue have always let their cams run hot as far back as Nexus 4 Pro, but since there's two 4k channels. Going by Viofo's record it could be an issue, hence why I ask

S1 4K Infinite
My pre-production Vueroid is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
I’m planning an A329S 3CH vs. S1 4K 3CH “battle royal cage match” lol
The only Vantrue product that excited me was the E1 Pro, but I’m not interested in testing it until the A119 Mini 2 4K (IMX678) is released to have a comparison shootout.
Nigel said it best; the E360's IMX675's just don't have the resolution for this super duper wide angle lens.
Also the non 16:9 aspect ratio panoramic stitching hurts my eyes. lol
Hopefully we get a 4K (dual IMX678 E360) before SEMA 2025.
I want to test that by mounting it to my head / shoulder while visiting all the booths.
I’m only interested in testing the T800 when all it’s accessories are available, and officially released on Amazon US, (rear camera CPL, and upgraded hardwire kit with voltage monitoring).
Their Kichstarter campaign is kind of a turn off.
Also, death to 1080p cameras, (built-in IR Interior). lol
So it’s been pushed back to most likely September 1.
I’ve got my eye out for the 2nd Gen AKEEYO AKY-710S with 4K (IMX678) and 60fps, and suction cup mount.
The current model is fake 4K (IMX335) and only 28fps?!?
This could be a good temporary / travel / rental car option.

What's wrong with Kickstarter? Plenty of well-known Chinese companies have had the odd product launched on Kickstarter.

Drums up extra interest and helps with funding and to gauge product interest, nothing wrong with that.

Also 1080p interior cameras will be gone soon enough. Could say the same about 2.5K rear sensors on dashcams with these new models coming with 4k rear. It will come eventually.

So my S1 4K Infinites arrived today and looking at them, I'm thinking I wanna dive deeper into this one since there's a good bit to it. The E1 Pro and E360 should be quicker so I think I'll knock those out first before diving into the bigger project.

Wolfbox G900 Pro v1 and v2 with improved rear camera is not the same viewing experience as the Wolfbox G900 Tripro. It is more than just being a 3 camera vs. 2 camera system. There have been quite a few update in hardware/firmware that make it highly improved

Could you elaborate a bit?
