What is a good car cam for night recording please ?

I currently have a version of the GS1000. Good for daylight but nighttime I have to set it on a brighter setting which gives me slightly better recording at night.

Hi Matt789,

Take a look at night videos of the FineVu CR500-HD, the BlackVue DR500GW-HD, Itronics ITB-100HD and Vosonic v747w. These cameras have better night recording.

The Itronics ITB-100HD is very blury picture quality. I think my gs1000 is clearer.

I've had a look athe samoon.net site which has some videos which suffer from a lower setting like you were saying with youtube.
Its a wonder they don't take stills with the on board camera.

The 3H2 model looks very good. I can't see any reviews on youtube about these.
On their web site thet have compressed videos so that I can get some idea on how it looks at night.
http://www.samoon.net/en/vidio.asp

These look like the gs8000/gs9000 models.
I'm considering buying one to see how they perform at night.

Samoon is a supplier of entry level product in the marlet, just keep this in mind, their product should be priced accordingly

Yes, samoon focus on ambrella solution DVR, many kinds dvr sell above $100. Mainly they don't have online store.
I also recommend DOD Car DVR, they have many video on website.

Yes, the 100HD is blurry if you will watch it in 360p and your GS1000 in 1080p.

From the DCM list I take out the BlackVue DR500GW-HD. So remain only 3 or again 4 if we will add some Hyundai to the list:

enjoy,
Mtz

Thank you for that youtube video. Where is the lcd on the back so I can line it up with the road when driving please ?
Or is it one of these ones that uses a mobile ?
I don't own a mobile that has a screen for video. Mine is to old for that.

I really need a car cam with a lcd screen if at all possible. Don't rteally wnat to buy a new mobile phone if I can help it.

Thank you for posting about the DOD Car DVR.
Is their a manufacturer web site that I can look at and ask more questions please ?

If i google all I get are aliexpress and ebay links and I'm not sure who's legit or not.
I've had a couple of bad experiences already with fake car cams.

I bought a hqs g3 which I was told was the latest model car cam and was suppose to be great at night.
It turned out to be an old gs1000 with the old blue menu. Didn't come with any drivers or instructions.

Wish I had of come across this site sooner.

Thanks so much for all the good replies.

There are some Australian sellers of DOD, personally I think they're ok but some models seem to sell for more than they're realistically worth

Depends what your budget is as to whether they would be the most suitable option

The only camera from DCM list with LCD display is the Flexmedia V747W (old name Vosonic V747W) so if you want a really good night mode this is the one.
If the night mode is not so important for you, you can buy any DOD or GS1000 (real not fakes).

enjoy,

Who is the manufacturer of the Itronics ITB-100HD please ?
